Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

I drink propel fitness water when I work out and other then that I only drink straight water the rest of the time. I occasionally have a mountain dew or alcoholic beverages. But in terms of all the flavored water drinks out there(lifewater, vitamin water, etc) and the green teas(too many brands to list), which one of them are healthy to drink? Or should I just stick with plain water.

Find Nutrition Schools in the United States and Canada. Nutrition schools offer training and education in the principles of proper nutrition. Typically, nutrition schools will furnish students with the most up to date holistic and conventional science in relation to dietary intake and nutrition.

While attending one of many nutrition schools, individuals will learn how to adequately address biochemical makeup of each client and how to create individualized health regimens applying proper diet, supplement and specific lifestyle suggestions.

Nutrition schools may provide nutritionist certification programs, as well as Bachelor degree programs in becoming a professional dietician and nutritionist. By enrolling in nutrition schools, individuals can become professional members of the medical service community. Learning how to serve nutritional, lifestyle and total wellness needs of individuals and entire families, nutrition schools help future practitioners to improve overall health through assessment and analytical skills. Students enrolled in nutrition schools will also gain necessary skills to develop appropriate nutritional plans facilitating methods in counseling, monitoring and client support.

Nutrition schools commonly include courses that consist of anatomy and physiology, functional nutrition; among many other related subjects. It is important to understand, too, that many states require licensure and/or certification; so it would be wise for prospective candidates to carefully review state requirements and course curriculums in nutrition schools to meet those requirements.

Successful graduates of nutrition schools can anticipate a positive job market, as professional nutritionists may attain gainful employment in local, state and national governmental organizations; in addition to a large number of medical health care facilities. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, professional nutritionists and dieticians, who have gained adequate training through any one of several nutrition schools, can expect lucrative earnings to over $50k annually on top end.

Defining Oral Allergy Treatment

Edit Article |

Posted: Jul 29, 2010 |Comments: 0

]]>

Oral Allergy Treatment: Many Americans suffer from allergies (recent estimates are around 1 in 5). The number of children presenting with food allergies at an early age are increasing. The number of children that are carrying their “allergies” through to adulthood are also increasing. And the number of people that are suffering from seasonal and airborne allergies are also increasing.

It’s obvious that while allergies have been a problem for a long time…they are definitely a problem that is escalating. An allergy is a negative medical condition or episode that was triggered by an allergen. Allergens are otherwise harmless substances that trigger allergic reactions in a select group of individuals. Some allergic patients have mild reactions or symptoms, but some have severe reactions/symptoms. Sometimes symptoms or allergic episodes can even be life threatening for the patient.

Allergic patients have a lot of options; they may or may not be aware of this fact. The most basic option open to everyone with allergies is to identify the allergen and avoid coming into contact with it. But some patients are dealing with allergens that cannot be easily avoided. Over the counter medications can alleviate some allergic cases.

Some allergy patients are able to obtain pharmaceutical relief from their physician. Others find that their allergic condition doesn’t respond well to pharmaceutical treatment (either short term or long term). Some allergy patients find themselves in dangerous situations due to extreme allergic reactions.

Allergy shots have become a traditional treatment that offer relief for many. Allergists (very specialized doctors with the ability to test for specific allergens and design appropriate allergy treatments) are available in most areas. But many are finding that the most convenient and effective treatment for their allergies is oral allergy treatment.

Treatment: Oral allergy treatment comes in the form of what most refer to as allergy drops. The sublingual allergy serum is taken as drops under the patient’s tongue. The treatment is based on immunology. It contains gradually increasing extracts of allergens. This allows the body to safely strengthen itself against the allergens that trigger reactions.

Summary: Oral allergy treatment can provide fast relief for allergy sufferers. Benefits are sometimes seen within months of the start of treatment. Patients can see a reduction in the severity of their allergic reactions, a decrease in episodes or an decrease in the number of symptoms presenting during episodes. Some even experience an elimination of the allergic reaction to the allergen targeted by treatment.

Regardless of the type of allergy (airborne, seasonal, food, etc.) patients have been known to see drastic results alleviating their conditions in a fairly expeditious manner. Oral allergy treatment can sometimes provide results for chronic allergy sufferers who have been unable to identify any other form of effective treatment. Consulting an allergist regarding the appropriateness of any allergy treatment is advised.

Allergists are able to pinpoint specific allergens through detailed testing. They are also highly trained in the allergy and asthma related conditions and can ensure that important aspects of the individual’s allergic reaction are not overlooked or underestimated. They can also closely monitor any treatment for adverse effects.
